Overview

The DR-7080C provides high-speed 70 page-per-minute colour scanning for batch scanning needs, as well as flatbed scanning. Equipped with Canon's technology, users will also enjoy the benefits of reliable document feeding, easy front-panel operation, and a user-friendly software interface that is common to all Canon DR document scanners. The DR 7080C also features a unique easy to use programmable control panel with simple push button access to scan-to-print, scan-to-folder or scan-to-mail functions. The DR-7080C is one of the most compact scanners of its kind, allowing for easier installation. Features

The DR-7080C achieves scanning speeds of up to 70 pages-per-minute for colour, grayscale and black & white scanning up to 200 dpi. Documents can be scanned in 24-bit colour, with an advanced CCD sensor, ensuring superb colour reproduction with graphs, charts, photos and more. The Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) has a capacity of up to 100 sheets of standard paper, and is designed to handle A3-size paper as well as longer documents. The ADF can be lifted and opens easily whenever flatbed scanning is needed. By raising the ADF on its hinges, books and other thick objects can be placed on the platen glass for clearer scans. For unmatched ease of use, the DR-7080C allows users to start scanning directly from the operation panel. Additionally, with Job Mode users can save settings for tasks such as Scan to Mail or Scan to Print, and later access these settings through the operation panel. The DR-7080C's expanded capabilities include a high-speed USB 2.0 or SCSI-III interface, intelligent automatic image rotation, Multistream™ support, and 600 dpi optical resolution. Multistream technology enables the DR-7080C to simultaneously output two images from a single scan, in a variety of combinations: full-colour, black-and-white, grayscale, binary or RGB colour dropout, resulting in the ability to capture images for multiple applications at high speed. The DR-7080C ships standard with Canon's scanning software, Capture Perfect v2.1, a plug-and-play application that provides a choice of output formats for distributed workflows. Document Set Indicators for both flatbed and feeder modes visually alert users when documents are properly loaded and/or situated on the platen for scanning.
